The Koko Human Resources Development Council (KHRDC),an organisation charged with empowering children and youths of Koko community in Warri-North Local Government Area, has pledged its support to the Delta state government in the fight against a possible outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in the state.
Speaking with the secretary of the organisation, Mr. Oti Emmanuel Oritsegbemi on the steps it has taken towards sensitizing children and youths on the existing precautionary measures against the EVD, in Koko Mr. Oti revealed that a sensitization workshop on the ways of preventing the dreaded EVD will be held during the commissioning of the laudable projects embarked upon by the organization in November.
He stated that facilitators will be deployed to speak on the dreaded disease in English language, pidgin and in Itsekiri, saying that the fight against the disease should not be for government alone but a collaborative one.
He however prayed God to make Nigeria, an Ebola free nation in the shortest possible time.
