RESUMPTION OF SCHOOLS IN UGHELLI SOUTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS

The level of compliance of government directive of school resumption date of Monday September 22nd ,2014 date  in most public primary and secondary  schools in some communities in Ughelli South such as Otu- Jeremi, Okwagbe , Ejophe and Ekakpamre  is  nothing to write home about as teachers who volunteered to speak to the on condition of anonymity  on the issue disclosed that teachers have resumed except for pupils and students that will resume next Monday September 29th,2014 according to directive from Ministry of Education Asaba as they disclosed further that the ministry  is billed to trained teachers on how to relate with pupils and students on the prevention of the spread of the dreaded ebola virus  before next Monday. 

The situation was however different in some private schools   visited as there were handful of pupils,students and teachers an indication that private schools in the area have resumed fully though with low turn out of both pupils and students which a female teacher in a private at Otu Jeremi  attributed to the usual tradition of low turn out on the first day of resumptions in schools.

Meanwhile at as the time of filing this report, there is no case of the spread of ebola virus to Ughelli South.
