` Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC) has applauded the Youths of Ethiope West Local Government Area for their proper behavioural pattern and good conduct that has enabled contractors in the area execute their projects on scheduled without any hitch.
The Commissioner representing Ethiope West, Sapele and Okpe Local Government Areas on the board of DESOPADEC, Chief Henry Ofa who led the officials of the Commission to inspect market and toilet project at Ugbenu/Koko Junction, inter road network, solar street lights, solar water projects among other on-going projects described youths in the area as good people who are craving for the development of their communities.
Chief Ofa commended the contractors handling all the jobs in the area for doing good jobs by executing them to standard and on schedule, pledging that the market at Ugbenu would be reviewed since the contractor on that site erroneously went beyond the scope of what he has initially asked to do by executing four units of market stalls and a toilet instead of one unit of market stalls and a toilet.
He advised the people of Ugbenu including the youths to sustain the prevailing cooperation with their contractors, explaining that more projects including the road network to the market would also be addressed in subsequent budgets.
Chief Ofa said he was also satisfied with the extent of job done at Ovade–Oghara including Ovade new site where he initially told them upon assumption of office that projects will come to them as an oil bearing community hosting PAN OCEAN Oil Company for the past 40 years.
He appealed to them to always support the government of Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, to succeed the more and to listen to him by voting for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in all elections in Delta State, in order to attract more dividends of democracy to the community and Delta State as a whole.
Dr. Ofa assured the youths in the area that they will be gradually engaged in the new agricultural programme just introduced by his commission to address the challenges of unemployment in Delta State in conjunction with foreign partnership, where upon completion of their training programmes, the youths would be set up in their respective areas of training where they too will in turn train others to be self reliant equally, stressing that Government is not given any of those to be trained physical cash.
