The Delta Force Football Club of Asaba has continued its build up to the forthcoming Nigeria National League season opener against Remo Stars Football Club of Iperu-Remo in strong fashion after beating former Nigeria Premier League title holders Bayelsa by two goals to nothing in a club friendly match.
Delta Force opened scoring in the thirty fifth minute of the game after pacy striker, Samson Obi outpaced his marker to swing in a shot before David Ijeh added the second in the seventy sixth minute of the crunch tie after out-running his marker before driving in a curling shot.
Delta Force is in group B1 of the Nigeria National League alongside Remo Stars Football Club of Iperu Remo, Abia Comets of Umuahia, Sharks Football Club of Port Harcourt, Go-Round Football Club of Omok, Unicem Rovers Football Club of Calabar, Akwa Starlets of Uyo and City of David Football Club of Lagos.
A statement by the Media Officer of the Delta Force Football Club of Asaba, Comrade Jude Agbeyeke says the club will play its matches at the Austin J.J Okocha Stadium in Ogwashi-Uku when the NNL Season kicks-off on May 7th.
Meanwhile Delta Force Football Club of Asaba will continue its preparations next week Wednesday when it plays Bayelsa United at the Jeremi Township Stadium Otu-Jeremi in a re-match before facing Gateway United of Abeokuta at the Akure Township Stadium on Friday in another friendly match.
